- A FAMILIAL adventure -

Founded in 2021 by our family of mother and daughters, ODISSEIA’s atelier naturally took its place in the heart of our own apartment in Lisbon.

"This is where it all began when prisoners of our own walls, the pandemic and successive lockdowns forced us to reinvent ourselves."

Odisséia was born from an urgent need to create with our own hands both to occupy the mind and to tell stories, but also from a common passion for unique pieces that have already lived.

Previously, during our treasure hunts for Déjà-Vu (our curation of unique pieces that have already lived @dejavu.lisboa), we had started collecting vintage fabrics and fabric leftovers nobody wanted.

Little by little, the idea of re-using these fabrics to give them a new life became a real project for which we had to learn from scratch by ourselves the ancestral techniques of embroidery, sewing and mending.

Restoring the beauty

of what has been forgotten

  • UPCYCLE

ODISSEIA only uses forgotten and leftover textiles, re-invented according to our treasure hunts.

The clothes and fabrics come from various origins: Deadstock pieces or even leftovers from textile industries that nobody wanted.

But also, second-hand pieces that were no longer used and were abandoned, then finally replaced even though they are still in good condition.

  • One-of-a-kind

Handmade in LISBON from upcycled materials, our pieces are entirely hand-embroidered with love during hours in our Lisbon homemade atelier.

    Each piece is therefore unique.

  • Custom Made

Because nothing makes us happier than making you happy, our team offers you the possibility to make your own customized piece.

Working directly with your preferences, we let you choose and imagine your dream piece from our limited range of fabrics and upycle clothes available.

We want to renew the lost tradition of tailor-made as a more sustainable approach to fashion and decoration.

AN IMAGINARY journey

Born from a desire to travel, our embroideries are inspired by imaginary journeys to cultures that we dream of exploring and existing places that we reinterpret to tell stories

"Embroidery is a way for us to write our own odyssey."
